Sweetpea

March 5, 2008 (DAY 194)

On March 5, 2008 at 9:54 pm, our little Kylee Neveah Long poked her little head into the world, pink bow and everything! She was 7 lbs 11.7 oz. and 20 1/2 inches long.

Things were rough for her at first. She came out girggling instead of crying because of the fluid in her lungs. She was rushed off to the nursery. The nurses worked on her and she was put under an oxygen tent. Her little fingers and toes were blue. But she's a fighter and she was stablized. Mommie finally got to hold her at 2 am. We're so thankful she's ok, but I have to admit we were all worried. She's at home now and doing wonderful.

Sweetpea

The birth of my newest grandchild, what a wonderful experience to live. What a lesson to anyone with their eyes open to living. The cycle of life on its unending march. At events like this it seems that everyone shares that feeling. The hope of a new generation. The love that is instantly given to the child. The renewed bond of family. The bond of mother and child. I feel all of this on a very intense level. Feelings that are hard to express in words. Know, my dear child of my child, that your grandmommie was full of love for you before you were even born..... and always will be.

Welcome to the world little one~
