October 26, 2007 (Day 62)
Follow up visit with Dr. Tatum, gynecologist and surgeon. Pelvic exam complete. He tells me everything looks good and that I look great. I tell him that I hope he's talking about my new haircut and styling attire and not what he just examined. We laugh and I confirm that I’m feeling wonderful and full of life. New found confidence and happy with Dr. Martin. I'm officially discharged from his care, but reminded to call with any needs at anytime. It's difficult to say goodbye. This awesome doctor saved my life and got me the help I needed without delay. I'll be forever grateful and sing his praises everywhere I go. It's funny how some doctors are like little gods gracing our earth.
Thank you Dr. Tatum for your wisdom, gentle spirit, healing hands and great bedside manner!
Pit stop at the lab, chit chat with the staff and I’m off with a spring in my step and my head held high. SURVIVOR MODE...
Autumn is a good representation. My cancer is changing colors as it's eradicated, slowly detaching itself from my body and floating away. Soon this old tree will stand dormant, find it's re-growth and flourish again.
