Chemo # 2

November 01, 2007 (DAY 68)

November 1, 2007 (Day 68)

Entering the office 20 minutes late, I’d decided to try a new route, which ended up being a boo boo. The nurse said she was wondering where I was. I don't have to have the platelet med today. I'm glad. I'm told that it probably attributed to my misery last week. We go through the same routine. Weigh in (still at my same weight) Choose a throne and port access, which hurt worse this week than last. Ouch. I asked the nurse for some topical analgesic and they laughed at me. Said I needed to toughen up...got my staples out from my port site. I'm glad, they were red and sore and hindered some of my outfits I want to wear. A new face in Chemo today. She has 18 treatments too, but hers is stretched over 18 months. Bummer. I'm thankful mine will be over in NOW 16 weeks. Another lady just hit her half way mark. Awesome! She started out on the same drugs I'm on and said to expect to lose my hair after the 3rd treatment. I've planned my head shaving party for next Friday night, which is the day after my 3rd treatment with my two daughters and my husband...All in all today went well. I'm in good spirits and feeling good. Thankful for this day and the love in my life.
