Rand and Cathie’s Wedding Day

The Bride
Cake Fight
Our Wedding

There are very few times in our lives when we are granted a second chance. Like a roll of the cosmic dice, Cathie came into my life and within just a few short days, I knew that we would spend the rest of our lives together.

I remember a beautiful evening in Vermont, in which I inititally intended to ask her to marry me. When the time came, I let that moment pass. Why? I’m not really sure. Maybe it was that we were away from home, which is something of great importance to us both. It sure wasn’t because of any doubt.

About three months later, just a couple of weeks prior to Christmas, I took her hand and asked her. She said, “Yes” and then started to cry.... just like she does when she feels love.... or beauty.... or anything that touches her heart. We set the date, New Year’s Eve, just about three weeks away. It was fun to watch her pulling everything together in her Lucille Ball manner.

Finally, the day came. She walked down the short aisle and took her place next to me. Surrounded by our nearest family and friends. We said the vows that we had felt in our hearts. She was that evening, and still is the most beautiful women in the world to me.

I’m blessed to walk next to her and honored to call her my wife.

I love you wife,

Rand
